The Clippers saw the door opened and they took advantage of the situation.
After being retired for five-straight outs to begin Thursday's game to the Knights in the United States Speciality Sports Association 11-Under State Tournament, the Clippers had six-consecutive batters to reach and score four times in the second inning. The Clippers went on to a 7-3 victory over the Knights.
Clippers coach Patrick Hyde said the Knights did well keeping his hitters off-stride early, but was glad to see his offense get things going in the second frame.
