Robert Buckner, 69, died Feb. 23, 2013 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Rev. Michael May will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Curtis Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. Buckner and Louvene Reed Buckner.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Turner Buckner of Columbus; daughters, Wendy Fountain and Angela Lanier, both of Eupora, Barbara Kimbrell (Tim) and Bobbie Watkins (Tommy), both of Columbus; sons, Freddie Parker (Robin) of Eupora and Billy Miller (Christy) of Starkville; sisters, Lynn Stewart and Kaye Buckner, both of Starkville; brothers, Larry Buckner and Eddie Buckner, both of Starkville; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 West Main St., Tupelo, MS 38801.
