Mr. Jim H. Johnson, 72, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at his residence in Maben.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Monday Jan. 21, 2013 at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Foles and Brother Joel Hudson officiating.
Burial followed in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Oktibbeha County.
Visitation was held 5:30-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at Oliver Funeral Home.
Oliver Funeral Home of Euporawas in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson was an oil meter reader with the Devon Oil Company. Jim was a member of the Center Grove Baptist Church. He served as Alderman and Mayor of Maben for several terms.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty S. Johnson of Maben; two sons, James (Tammy) Johnson of Mathiston and Glenn Johnson of Maben; his mother, Kathleen Johnson; two brothers, Robert (Sheila) Johnson and Curtis (Paula) Johnson; and three grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dot Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Michael, Scott, Dean, Kevin and Robb Johnson.
