Mr. Charles Edwin Hartness, 75, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 in Columbus.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church Outreach Center in Starkivlle
In 2004, Charles willed his body to science.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Thorne (John), Charles Edwin Hartness Jr. (Suelyn) and Janice Cluly (Derrick); brother, Davis Hartness (Peggy); seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one special friend, Juanita Hartness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Stella Hartness; sisters, Stella Mae Hull and Edith Ann McCoy; brothers, Homer Billups Hartness, Felix Hartness and Eugene Hartness.
