He grew up in the military, moving all over the world. He graduated from Nurnburg High School in Germany and Jones Junior College, where he received a degree in electronic technology. Jeff was a passionate semi-professional musician. He played in bands in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas such as Bad Boy and Witness. He was a roadie for the band Snow, and a sound engineer at the Boiler Room Studio for Mark Bingham, New Orleans Klezmer Allstar Band, Pearl Jam and Better Than Ezra.
For the last 15 years he has been an employee for American Eurocopter in Grand Praire, Texas and Columbus.
He is survived by one daughter, Katii Tillman; companions Leigh Tillman and Lani Stewart; brother, Lt. Col. Jim Tillman; sister, Jean Goss; and several nieces and nephews. He had many friends including Bill W. and even in the last days, he still found the strength to share inspiration and hope to everyone he met.
