Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Pogue of Starkville are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Heather Nichole Pogue, to Mr. Paul Gregory Smith Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Smith of Aberdeen.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jean Pogue and the late Nelson Pogue of Eupora, and Mary Jane Burney and the late James Burney of Stewart.
She is a 2009 graduate of Starkville Academy and a 2012 graduate of Holmes Community College where she received an associates of applied science degree in surgical technology.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith of Aberdeen, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fisher of Prarie.
He is a 2008 graduate of Oak Hill Academy and a 2011 graduate of East Mississippi Community College. He is currently employed at Baze Pharmacy as a certified pharmacy technician.
The wedding party will include: maid of honor, Brooke Pogue of Starkville; bridesmaids, Kali Burney of Starkville, and Abbie Smith of Louisville; best man, Maverick Smith of Aberdeen; groomsmen, Daniel Fisher of Prarie, and Drew Smith of Louisville.
Ushers will be Cole Burney of Starkville, and Lash Hughlett of Louisville, Ky.
Vows will be exchanged on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at two o' clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church in West Point with Bro. Chip Stevens officiating. A reception will follow at the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church in West Point.
