James Garrard Jr.

Mr. James Thomas Garrard Jr., 81, of Perkinston died Thursday, April 19, 2012 in Hattiesburg.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins, a transportation coordinator for Charles Evans Trucking and an Army veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas Garrard Sr. and Dicye Carolyn (Gregg) Garrard, and brother, Gene Lionel Garrard.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Garrard of Perkinston; five children, Gwen Garrard of Starkville, James Earl (Emily) Garrard Sr., Amy (Larry) Woodward of Ft. Walton, Fla., Robert Christopher Garrard of Hattiesburg and Timothy L. (Rebekah) Garrard of Wiggins; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat (McCahill) Garrard of Starkville and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Starkville.
