Katherine Chen

Ms. Katherine Chen, 98, died March 14, 2012, at her residence in Poulsbo, Wash.
Katherine was born in 1913 in Hangzhou, China, and in 1935 she married Edward, a civil engineer. They moved to Taiwan in 1946 and worked until they retired in 1980 and moved to Starkville.
Katherine was an accomplished concert pianist and involved with music all of her life, including teaching private and university piano students, both in Taiwan and Starkville. After the passing of her husband Edward in 2002, Katherine moved to the Northwest to be closer to her son.
