Eupora's bid for upset falls short

WESSON – The Eupora Eagles lead early, but could not overcome Wesson as they claimed a 72-61 victory.

The Cobras lead 17-12 after the first quarter, 35-22 at halftime and 54-38 at the end of the third.

The loss eliminates Eupora from the playoffs.

Derrick Jones lead the Eagles with 21 points.

East Webster loses at Bassfield

BASSFIELD – The East Webster Wolverines saw their season end Tuesday night with a 67-27 loss to Bassfield.

Bassfield jumped out to a 29-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Charles Guyton had 10 points for the Wolverines, who concluded with a record of 10-18.
