February 11, 2012

JACKSON – It was a tale of two halves for the Starkville Academy Lady Volunteers Friday night.

The Lady Vols only shot 29 percent from the field, including 25 percent from 3-point range.

"We just didn't shoot well," Starkville Academy girls coach Glenn Schmidt said. "We held them to 35 points, but we could only get 33. They just played better defense than we did, but we'll learn from it and move forward."

Julianne Jackson was next in the scoring column with six points.
