Mildred Edmonds

Ms. Mildred McLaughlin Edmonds, 88, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at Neshoba County General Hospital in Philadelphia. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Frank Edmonds; sons, Earnest Frank Edmonds Jr., Robert Renley Edmonds and Wilburn Arther Edmonds; and daughter, Jennifer Mae Edmonds.
She is survived by her daughter, Camellia Byrd and Billy Joe of Philadelphia; brother, Vernon McLaughlin of Shawnee, Okla.; five grandchildren, Richard Byrd, Chris Byrd, Jessie Edmonds, James Edmonds and Angelia Edmonds; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Wayne Hill will conduct the service. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Oktibbeha County.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
