It wasn't one of better games in the stat column for Mississippi State point guard Dee Bost.
Bost experienced a bad shooting afternoon, only hitting 1-of-10 shot attempts, and scored five points during a 66-64 victory by the Bulldogs over the Utah State Aggies.
Even with his struggles, Bost still managed to capture a milestone with MSU.
Bost had four assists and his third of the day to Jalen Steele with 13:59 left in the game gave the Concord, N.C., native the school record in assists. He has 515 assists, which broke the mark of former Bulldog player Derrick Zimmerman.
"That's quite an accomplishment when you consider all the guys that have played at Mississippi State," MSU coach Rick Stansbury said. "He's a guy that's led us in scoring the last couple of years so he is not just a point guard who looks to dish, he's a scoring guard at the same time."
With his scoring, Bost has 1,358 career points which stands 15th in school history.

Nose for
double-doubles

Not even sinus problems could keep MSU junior forward Arnett Moultrie from collecting another double-double.
Moultrie recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds during the win by the Bulldogs.
"Arnett is always going to bring it," Stansbury said.
MSU has an 8-0 record this season when Moultrie achieves a double-double.
For the season, Moultrie averages a double-double of 16.8 points per game and 11.4 rebounds.

Non-conference
success

Mississippi State has won 13 non-conference games in a regular season three times with Stansbury as the coach.
The other two years it was accomplished was 2002 and 2004.

Hood likes 16

Rodney Hood attempted a career-high 16 shots and finished with 16 points. He has scored in double digits 11 times in his freshman season.
