George Arnold

Mr. George Brooks Arnold, 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in Vancleave. A graduate of Starkville High School and Mississippi State University’s College of Agriculture, his career was in animal husbandry.
He and Janelle Henry Arnold had three children: Sam Arnold of Little Rock, Ark., Susan Arnold and Steve Arnold of Lebanon, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Arnold, and by his parents, George Felix Arnold and Brooks Randle Arnold.
Survivors include cousins, William Randle, Frances White Oakley, Mary Alice White Dodson, Adelaide Arnold Ramsey and John Robert Arnold; Janelle Henry Arnold, who lives in Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a sister, Grace Henry Goodman, of Starkville; seven grandchildren; and special friend, Earl Parrish of Starkville.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in Odd Fellows Cemetery under the leadership of Dr. Prentiss M. Gordon, Sr., pastor emeritus of First United Methodist Church in Starkville.
