Charles R. Dykes

Mr. Charles R. Dykes, 68, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville. He was a ceramic installer with Wells Tile and Carpet and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Reu Dykes and Waldean Perkins Dykes.
He is survived by his daughters, Jeanette Lynn Jerome of Ocean Springs, and Lisa Michelle Carmichael of Starkville; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Huffman of Starkville, and Vickie Turner of Tupelo; brothers, Donald Dykes of Starkville, Larry Dykes of Starkville and Bobby Dykes of Beaverton, Ala.; special friend, Betty Dykes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Dykes is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, from 2-4 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Welch Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Tom Daniel will conduct the service. Burial will be in Adaton Baptist Church Cemetery.
