For Starkville Daily News

In announcing his candidacy for the office of District 2 Constable, Curtis D. Randle made the following statement:
“My name is Curtis D. Randle, and I am seeking re-election for Constable District 2.
“I am a life-long residence of Oktibbeha County. I am an active member of Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church. I have three children: Shameka, Loreal and Curtis Jr.
“First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere thanks to my family, friends, and the voters and citizens of Oktibbeha County for your strong support for the past 16 years. It has been a privilege and pleasure to have served you as your District 2 Constable since 1996.
“I have a total of 20 years of experience in law enforcement. In 1991, I began part-time work at the Oktibbeha County Sheriff Department where I served as jailor, dispatcher and road deputy until my first appointment as Constable in 1996.
I am a retired military serviceman of 24 years (10 years in the Miss. National Guard and 14 years in the U.S. Army Reserve). While in the military, I served in capacities ranging from field to administrative duties. I also have dedicated 22 years as a fireman for the city of Starkville.
“In all my endeavors, I strive to be honest, dedicated, professional, and fair.
“There is nothing more valuable or irreplaceable than on-the-job training. I have 16 years of on-the-job training as Constable. My experiences from my past and present jobs have given me the necessary knowledge and skills that make me the most qualified candidate.
Even though I may not be able to contact all voters of District 2 personally, I want you to know that I value you and your support. I am asking you for your continued support on Nov. 8.
“If re-elected, I will continue to diligently serve you with efficiency and dedication.”
