James (Jimmy) C. McHann

, 72, of Sturgis, passed away at Brooklyn Hall Personal Care Home in Mathiston on Friday, August 12, 2011.
Mr. McHann was the owner of McHann Construction Company, Inc. and a beef cattle farmer.  He was an ordained deacon and Sunday school teacher at Sturgis Baptist Church. 
Mr. McHann is survived by his wife of 51 years, Undra Green McHann of Sturgis; daughter, Lecia Laswell (David) of Rome, Ga.; sister, Carmen O'Meara of Alabama; and one grandson, Keaton Laswell of Rome, Ga. 
Visitation for Mr. McHann will be held on Sunday, August 14, from 5-8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, and also on Monday, August 15, from 10-11 at the funeral home. 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, at 11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Steve Lammons, Rev. Terrell Mayo and Rev. Frankie Tomlinson. Burial will follow in Craig Springs Cemetery.
