Dr. and Mrs. Willliam Parrish recently returned from the promotion ceremony in Arlington, Va.,  for their son, Brigadier General Willliam Stoppel, pictured here with his wife Sandra and son Will. Stoppel is the Chief of Staff, Army National Guard and, as such, ensures the effective and efficient operations of the Army National Guard Directorate Staff. He is a 1983 graduate of Starkville High School and holds a bachelor of arts in history and master of arts in political science degrees from Mississippi State. He began his military service upon graduation from the Army ROTC program at Mississippi State in 1987.Stippel is associated with the Mississippi National Guard.
