Betty Brammer Strange

Betty Brammer Strange, a devoted wife and mother, died June 27, 2011, after suffering with alzheimer's disease for many years. Born in Muncie, Ind. on March 20, 1921, Betty was a career registered nurse. During her nursing career, she met her husband, Dempsey Clark Strange, M.D.
Betty is survived by three children: Suzy Strange Brookhardt of Daphne, Ala., Dempsey Clark Strange, Jr. of Flora, and James Thadeus Strange of  Flowood. She has four grandchildren, Heather Healey Martiniere, James Thadeus Strange, Jr., Matthew Strange and Mary Clark Strange.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband and a son, John Murray Strange.
The family wishes to remember her long time friends, especially her bridge group. Also, her children express their love and gratitude to her long time friend and caregiver, Lula Dee Carter.
Memorial contributions may be made to Palmer Home for Children in  Columbus or Mustard Seed in Flowood.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 29 at Memorial Gardens  Park in Starkville.
