Funeral services for Lindsey Alexander will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at Ackerman Church of God with Revs. Scott Cappleman, Jimmy Whitney and Greg Chamblee officiating.
Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman with Coleman Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home and noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Ackerman Church of God.
Mr. Alexander, 84, died June 3, 2011, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. He was a founding member of Ackerman Church of God and was the retired owner of Ackerman Body Shop.
He is survived by his sons Danny (Diane) Alexander, of Starkville, Douglas (Annette) Alexander, of Pachuta, Larry (Mary) McBrayer of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughters Sharon Alexander, of Starkville, Barbara Hogaboom, of Brooksville; brothers Carl Alexander, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Cedell Alexander, of Louisville, Junior Alexander, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; sisters Connie Cumberland, of Preston and Judy Holton, of Noxapater; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Duey and Bealey Alexander and spouses Dorothy Mae Alexander and Brenice “Beny” McBrayer.
