As the Northeast Mississippi Basketball Coaches Association All-Star festivities take place Saturday, there will be a definite East Webster flavor.
Ledrick Patterson and Miguel Graham will each play in the Class A/2A game while former Cumberland coach Sam Henderson will enter the NEMBCA's Hall of Fame as the events unfold at Northeast Mississippi Community College.
East Webster head coach Corey Stidham is glad to see the Wolverines well represented this weekend and is especially proud of his now-former players, Patterson and Graham.
"They've done a lot for our school in all sports," said Stidham of Patterson and Graham. "It's nice to see them get rewarded for all their hard work and be able to play in this game."
Patterson paved his way into this weekend's game by posting a team-leading 16.6 points per game for East Webster last season.
Right behind him was Graham, who averaged 16.4 points per game.
Despite both individuals' hoops success, the duo has signed to play football at Holmes Community College in the fall, so Saturday could very well be the last organized basketball game Patterson and Graham ever play.
"I'm sure it'll be kind of bittersweet for them, ending good basketball careers," said Stidham.
Saturday's boys action begins at around 2:30 p.m., immediately following a 1 p.m. girls game.
Henderson's NEMBCA Hall of Fame induction will take place at 12:30 p.m.
