I know there are many generous people, who would like to help, and this fund will help meet the priority needs of the communities.”
The fund is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit corporation that will coordinate donations to aid residents recovering from the storms. The goal is to meet the needs of the impacted communities that cannot be met by the government.
The website also will guide visitors to volunteer opportunities through the Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service.
The Disaster Recovery Fund is managed by a board made up of members from throughout the state. The board members will determine the distribution of funds to address unmet recovery needs.
