Mr. Thomas McKenzie, 89, passed away at his residence in Sturgis on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Thomas was a member of Shady Grove Lutheran Church and a World War II Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly McKenzie.
Mr. McKenzie is survived by his daughter, Diann Allen of Louisville; sons, George McKenzie of Sturgis, Mickey Mckenzie of Milport, Ala. and Todd McKenzie of Columbus; sisters, Lurlean Cooper of Butler, Ala and Shirley Ward of Meridian, MS; brothers, Cecil McKenzie of Vicksburg, Carl McKenzie of Vicksburg and Charles McKenzie of Vicksburg, MS; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville conducted by Rev. Ralph Windle. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
