Children are introduced to native Miss. wildlife at the Everything Garden Expo today

March 5, 2011

Andrea Schumann shows "Mr. Peebody" to a room full of children and adults at the Everything Garden Expo.
Schumann said the American alligator lives up to his name, because when he gets nervous, he urinates, and that's what "Mr. Peebody" did as the last animal presented as part of the program.
Schumann is a conservation biologist and outreach educator for the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
The Everything Garden Expo will continue Sunday.
