Hazel Earlene Kennedy Wright

Mrs. Hazel Earlene Kennedy Wright, 91, of Starkville, passed away at the Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.
Mrs. Wright was an ordained minister, Sunday School teacher and a youth leader in the Church of God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, L. H. and Violar Fox Kennedy husband, Herman Leroy Wright son, Lavoy Wright; brothers, James Greer Kennedy, Aaron Kennedy, M. H. Kennedy, and Claude Kennedy.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Delores Wright Roberts (Gordon) of Brandon; and Evalynn Lonese Wright Hathorn (Richard) of Starkville; sisters, Venus Kennedy Taylor Snowden of Brandon; and Lorraine Kennedy Cobb Glover of Brandon; brother, John Otis Kennedy of Starkville; grandchildren, Kenneth Lee Roberts, Michael Alan Roberts, Russell Scott Roberts all of Brandon; Karen Roberts McKlemurry of Florence; Janet Hathorn Bowen of Eupora; and 10 great grandchildren.
All those who knew Mrs. Wright were charmed by her sweet smile and loving spirit. Her words of wisdom gave encouragement to everyone she met. She was a classy lady and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. at Starkville Church of God officiated by Rev. Hank Anderson. Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Park.
