The Colvard Student Union Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition of art by MSU faculty member Chris Dewey, âItâs Only Natural,â through Feb. 28. The gallery is open at the Union daily.

Flu vaccination clinic sessions held
The Longest Student Health Center at MSU is hosting a flu vaccination from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today in the main hallway of Lee Hall.
Another vaccination clinic will be held in the third floor classroom of the Student Health Center from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday.
The clinic is open to all over the age of 9. The vaccination is free to MSU students, but costs $10 for all others. For more information, contact Robert Cadenhead at 325-5895.

The workshop will focus on using page design software InDesign to create newsletters.

âHow to Use Your Libraryâ program offered Thursday
The MSU Libraries will offer a program on âHow to Use Your Libraryâ from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday in the ELI Classroom at Mitchell Memorial Library.

GTKC Dog Show held at Horse Park
The Golden Triangle Kennel Club will sponsor a Dog Show beginning at 8 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday at the Mississippi Horse Park off Poorhouse Road.
Both days of the event will feature a variety of dog breeds competing in various trials and numerous dog-related vendors. Admission is free to all to attend.

University to close for King holiday
Mississippi State will not hold classes or open any campus offices on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Classes will resume on a normal schedule on Tuesday.
âPowering Through Powerpointâ workshop offered
The Instructional Media Center at Mitchell Memorial Library will sponsor a workshop on âPowering Through Powerpointâ from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday in the Giles Classroom on the first floor of Mitchell Memorial Library.
The workshop will focus on helping participants create effective PowerPoint presentations without going overboard.
Topics will include using the right amount of slide transitions, animations, sounds and graphics, showing how just a little bit can go a long way.

Alternative Spring Break interest meeting set
The Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement and the Maroon Volunteer Center will sponsor an interest meeting for Alternative Spring Break from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 19 in Room 324 in the Colvard Student Union.
Alternative Spring Break allows students to engage in community service and hands-on activities in communities across the nation.
This yearâs Alternative Spring Break will be held in Niceville, Fla., where students will volunteer with local community agencies to address social needs.
Any students interested in participating should attend the interest meeting.
