Denim and Diamonds event set for Saturday

August 22, 2014

On Saturday evening, two Starkville legends will be honored at the third annual Denim & Diamonds event hosted by the Friends of the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum.

The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Starkville Country Club, raises money for the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum. The museum uses the funds, as well as money from grants, patrons and membership dues, to purchase big-ticket items it needs throughout the year. These items include new exhibits for the museum as well as things like maintenance and landscaping, said Ava Moore, co-chair of the Denim & Diamonds event.
