Bulldogs open the season tonight against Cyclones

August 21, 2014

Mississippi State soccer coach Aaron Gordon won't apologize about a tough non-conference schedule.
When it comes to playing in the Southeastern Conference, Gordon wanted to have as many early tests as possible to get ready.
The season starts tonight for the Bulldogs when they take on Iowa State from the Big 12 Conference. The match begins at 7 p.m. at the MSU Soccer Field.
"Iowa State is good," Gordon said. "They finished fourth in the Big 12 last year, which is the highest finish they've ever had. With my experience in the Big 12, I know their team and know what they have right now, so it will be a real game right off the bat."
