FRENCH CAMP – The French Camp Panthers are pretty much starting from scratch.
After winning the Class A State championship last season, the Panthers lost 14 seniors and 12 starters from that team.
French Camp coach Nathan Wright would love to have the type of program that could just "reload," but realistically he knows the more proper word to describe where it stands is "rebuild."
"We've got a lot of new faces out there this year, which is also exciting," Wright said. "You hate to lose the ones that you lost. It was kind of depressing when we first came out, but these other guys are improving and working. It will be interesting to see throughout the year, who steps up and really does a great job for us.
