Starkville Academy head football coach Jeff Terrill was happy to see his team respond and do well in the first chance for the Volunteers to go against an opponent Friday night.
Even though Starkville Academy found it to be easy at times during a 34-0 two-quarter jamboree victory over Noxapater, Terrill warned not to get too excited over the outcome.
"You don't read too much into a two-quarter scrimmage," Terrill said. "Both teams were substituting in and out during a scrimmage like this. One young kid can come in, make a mistake and it can blow up like the run there at the end (for a SA touchdown). (Dalton) Dempsey did a great job and I'm sure people blocked well, but we won't read too much into it. We were pleased with what we did. We will build upon it and get better."
