It has been all about practice, practice, practice for Starkville Academy, but tonight that all changes.
At 7 p.m., the Volunteers will suit up for a two-quarter jamboree game against Noxapater.
"It is a time for both teams to line up against somebody else," SA coach Jeff Terrill said. "We can knock the rust off and get in game speed."
Not only does this game allow the chance to see how the team stacks up against new opponents, but it allows the coaching staff to catch any "surprises" before the season officially starts next week.
"We are looking for good, crisp play," Terrill said. "I expect both teams to involve a lot of kids as they strive to cut out the mistakes before game one. You are certainly going to have surprises just hope they are good ones."
