Last Saturday market Aug. 23 - Mid-Week market to continue selling goods through October

August 13, 2014

The Starkville Community Market will close what officials are calling a successful summer season this Saturday, but the Mid-Week Market introduced this year will continue to run on Tuesdays through October.

Jennifer Prather, special events and projects coordinator and Starkville Community Market manager for the Greater Starkville Development Partnership, said while totals for the full summer season were not available yet, the first four Saturdays generated $25,000 in gross revenue for its vendors, and attendance numbers throughout the summer averaged between 800 and 1,000 customers.
