Starkville looks to fix damaged road at Sportsplex

A solution to repairing road conditions at Starkville Sportsplex may very well be in the Mississippi Legislature’s hands.

The road, which accesses parking areas at the Sportsplex, has fallen into lackluster condition — suffering extreme wear and developing potholes — and Parks and Recreation commissioners and staff claim the problem has worsened since Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit (SMART) buses began using the road for a pick-up/drop-off point last year.
