Area baseball has enjoyed much success this season.
From All-Star State champions to Dizzy Dean consolation bracket champions, there have been numerous success stories.
One more team earned a spot in the conversation as the Eupora Braves, a 14-under AA baseball team, concluded their season with a second-place finish at the USSSA World Series.
“This was a truly amazing run they made on Sunday in the Gulf Coast heat and these young men played with so much heart, character, and determination," Eupora manager Kevin May said.
Competing against teams from Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana, the Braves faced no easy task in their run at a World Series title.
