Basketball has taken Rashad Perkins on a path from Starkville to Florida to south Mississippi and now to Arkansas.
The former Starkville High School player has taken advantage of each stop to improve his game.
"Everything is just a step to where I really want to get to," Perkins said.
After helping the Yellowjackets to the state championship in 2010, Perkins began his junior college career in Florida before finishing up at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Perkins reached All-State status at MGCCC after scoring 14.2 points per game and attracted attention from several schools. He decided to sign with Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark.
