Summer Scholars ready for stage - Performances scheduled for this weekend at MSU’s McComas Hall

July 25, 2014

While laughs generally abound in Mississippi State University’s annual Summer Scholars on Stage productions, it’s possible to identify a streak of horror and suspense in the last three years.

In 2012, the production was “Don’t Panic,” built around the 2012 apocalypse phenomenon and a zombie plague. In 2013 came “Tales from Dimension 13,” a collection of three science fiction tales that took several cues from the television suspense classic “The Twilight Zone.” And this year, the production is a ghost story of criminal intrigue, star-crossed love and paranormal evil that spans nearly a century.
