Frances Upchurch Hall

Frances Lizzett Upchurch Hall, 96 passed away on June 8, 2014 at the Mid-Michigan Hospice House in Lansing, Michigan.
Mrs. Hall was born to Robert Wirt Upchurch and Rubie Bruce Upchurch on June 6, 1918 at her grandparents’ home in Sessums, MS. Mrs. Hall graduated from Starkville High School and Mississippi State College, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in May of 1940.  From 1940 through 1948, she was employed by Mississippi Agricultural Extension Service.  She was married to William Earl Hall in August 1948.  She was baptized and married in the chapel at First Baptist Church, Starkville.  She was a member of South Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Earl Hall and sisters Catherine Upchurch Price of Durham, North Carolina and Mary Upchurch Brooks of Starkville.  Also preceding her in death was her niece Catherine Elizabeth Price of Durham, NC
Mrs. Hall is survived by her niece Mary Ann Brooks Livingston (Wayne) of Starkville; two nephews Jimmie Brooks (Linda) of Pearl, MS and Bobby Brooks (Pam) of Couch, Missouri.  Mrs. Hall is also survived by nieces Anita Hall Baroni (Mario) of Natchez and Harriet Hall Imrey of Chicago, IL; and a nephew Dr. Charles Hall (Sylvia) of Jackson.  Several great nieces and nephews also survive her.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 6 at Oddfellows Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.  Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
