Police seek counterfeit check suspects

Starkville Police Department is warning businesses to be alert for possible counterfeit checks after two local businesses have fallen victim to reported felony false pretense incidents.

According to an SPD press release issued Monday, three arrests warrants have been issued for Tommy Lamar Davis of Decatur, Ga., and Gabriel Petty and Robert Earl Robertson, both of Starkville. The three men are suspected of cashing counterfeit payroll checks at two local businesses.
