Two coinciding Thursday evening events offered a chance for people to take advantage of special deals in some downtown stores and to preview a new sports grill that will soon open for business in the old State Theatre.

Dawg House Sports Grill opened its doors to let guests in for drinks and free food in a sort of preview experience before an official opening that’s tentatively scheduled for July 10.
