Mississippi State has almost finalized its non-conference basketball schedule for the 2014-15 season.Â
Head coach Rick Ray indicated that the Bulldogs are waiting on one more contract, a "high-major contract."Â
"Once we get that one contract in, our schedule will be complete," Ray said at a media gathering on Thursday. "They're going to announce an exempt basketball tournament that we're going to be in."
MSU really has begun to beef up the schedule for the next couple of seasons. It will host Florida State this year, and will play in Tallahassee during the 2015-16 season. The Bulldogs will travel to Corvallis, Ore., in December to play Oregon State. The Beavers will return the favor and play in Starkville during the 2015-16 season.Â
"I'm really happy with where we are," Ray said. "We wanted to go out and get a top 50 team RPI wise and Florida State has proven to be a top 50 team in the RPI. We wanted to make sure we brought somebody like that into the Hump."
