There was one primary reason why Starkville High School quarterback Brady Davis chose June 24 to make his college destination known to the public.
Davis didn't want the recruiting process to be a distraction while he was leading the Yellowjackets to the best possible season they can have this fall.
On Tuesday evening, Davis tweeted that he was going to play at the University of Memphis. Now his focus can solely be on his senior season and having success at SHS.
"I don't want to lose and don't want to come close to losing," Davis said. "Our goal is to win every game big and not have any problems. I'm focused on Starkville because we can be really special."
