MSU’s Kibler among finalists for SRSU post

May 29, 2014

Mississippi State University Vice President for Student Affairs Bill Kibler is one of three finalists for president of Sul Ross State University (SRSU) in Alpine, Texas.

Kibler is the second MSU vice president in two months to be named a finalist for a presidential position at another university. In April, Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tenn., named MSU Provost and Executive Vice President Jerry Gilbert a finalist in its presidential search. Gilbert was also a finalist in September for president of the University of South Alabama, which ultimately chose Tony G. Waldrop — provost and executive vice president at the University of Central Florida — in February.
