Left-handed pitcher Ross Mitchell has a pretty good record for the Mississippi State Bulldogs and it doesn't all have to do with baseball.
Mitchell was selected to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team last week as the league recognizes those players who give back to the communities.
In the three years Mitchell has been at MSU, he has been active in the Starkville area. He has loved his time as a Bulldog so far and the people who have made him feel at home here.
"The community has been so welcoming and supporting that I want to take advantage of any chance that I get to give back," Mitchell said. "I've done some stuff with youth and try to encourage them."
