Cadence expands teller tech

May 22, 2014

Since last fall, Starkville has been a major component of a technological innovation in banking. However, it is only recently that Starkville residents have been able to reap the benefits of this technology.

On Wednesday, Cadence launched Starkville’s first interactive teller unit at its University Branch location on Highway 12. The new service, called Cadence LIVE, utilizes APTRA high definition video technology from NCR Corporation which allows customers to communicate with a remote teller on the screen. The tellers are located at Cadence’s Starkville Operations Center, Jerry Toney, Mississippi president and Wealth Services manager for Cadence, said these tellers have already been serving several Cadence branches in Alabama utilizing this technology for several months. Now, they will have the opportunity to service the people in their own community.
