City CAO asks for more time for Sanitation review

May 21, 2014

Starkville Chief Administrative Officer Taylor Adams pleaded with aldermen Tuesday on behalf of Sanitation and Environmental Services Director Emma Gandy for more time to research ways to make the department more efficient without outsourcing its services.

The board ordered Gandy in April to work with Adams on drafting a request for proposals from private vendors for all department functions, as well as a separate RFP for the landscaping services the city provides in city rights-of-way.
