Antonio Wright delivers his testimony through motivational speaking opportunities throughout the state. (Submitted photo)

On February 2, 1997, Antonio Wright’s life was forever changed when his Pathfinder flipped a total of eight times.
During the crash, the former Hinds Community College linebacker was thrown from the vehicle where he fractured his L1 vertebrae while shattering the L2. In addition, Wright’s spinal cord was twisted while all of his internal organs were shifted. While the doctors credit Wright’s physical condition with keeping him alive, the former college athlete says it was “God’s grace” that prevented his death and instead left him a L2 or waistline paraplegic.
On top of what was going on in his person life, one month to the date later Wright tragically lost his only brother to a senseless murder, but it is not these events that define Wright. Instead, he chooses to take the challenges he has faced and use them to impact the lives of others.
