Mississippi State catcher Cody Walker entered in the second inning for his defensive ability.
It was his eye at the plate offensively that won the Bulldogs a game.
The junior took ball four with the bases loaded in the 12th inning on Sunday to force home a run and gave the Bulldogs a 4-3 walk-off win against Tennessee to take the series on a sunny Mother's Day afternoon.
MSU loaded the bases with no outs, but a shallow fly out to center field by Alex Detz and a fielder's choice by Brett Pirtle kept the bases loaded with two outs.
Walker got ahead 3-1 and then took ball four to force home Cody Brown and seal the victory.
