There was a sigh of relief from the Mississippi State men's golf team when its name was not listed alongside Alabama's.
The Bulldogs were not put in the same regional at Auburn as the top-ranked Crimson Tide for postseason play. Rather, MSU will travel to Sugar Grove, Illinois, and Rich Harvest Farms for a NCAA regional. The pairings were announced on Golf Channel Monday morning
"All the top seeds are going to be good teams and we know that," MSU head coach Clay Homan said. "We know we're going to have to play well in order to beat a top seed.
"We're certainly capable of beating anybody at any given time if we play our best. You'd like to have the odds in your favor going in. We feel like this is a great draw for us."
