Bradberry to be inducted into HoF

April 28, 2014

Randall Bradberry served with the Mississippi State Board for Community and Junior Colleges as commissioner of athletics when the Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2007.
Fast forward seven years and Bradberry, a native of Sturgis, will be one of those inducted into that hall of fame. He will be recognized at a banquet tonight at the Muse Center on the Rankin County campus of Hinds Community College.
Bradberry had a good two-year run as the quarterback at East Mississippi Junior College in 1967-68, and the time he spent on the field there and administration work later has led to the honor. It's one he doesn't think he's deserving to get and was humbled by the news.
"It's one of those things that you never expect will come along and suddenly it did," Bradberry said. "I still don't know who did the nominating, but it was somebody in East Mississippi.
"When you think of everyone who has been involved with East Mississippi over the years, it makes you sit back and think about it. It really does."
