Coach Kristie Williams calls her the “quiet assassin” and looking at Starkville High senior Imane Montgomery, it is a fitting title.
Off the court, the senior is a woman of few words, but one step onto the hardwood and her game is killer.
“She is a very shy person by nature,” Williams said. “She was always there for her teammates. She had those quiet leadership skills, but when she stepped on the court, she let her game speak for itself. She was always there if I needed her to do something. She was always willing to help anybody develop their game and that speaks a lot about her character.”
Montgomery’s story with the Lady Yellowjackets is complete as far as on the court and the legacy she is leaving behind is certainly one worth telling.
