April 24, 2014

MABEN – East Webster’s tennis team has encountered a bit of a stumbling block in the past when it came to postseason competition.
The Wolverines broke free from that obstacle by defeating Union 5-2 to clinch the Class 2A North Half title and advanced to the state tournament.
“We have never made it this far before,” East Webster coach Pam Champion said. “We have never been able to get past Madison-St. Joe and we finally beat them, allowing us to advance forward to this point. Now we’ve beat Union, so we will advance forward to the state tournament.
